I am an iPhone user again with the new 4S. Excited. Also anxiously waiting for 4S jailbreak to come out.
Nonetheless, I still spent much time in trying out the FREE apps app store has to offer. For those of you who are on the same boat, here are a few apps and games that I would recommend to get you going with the 4S.

A great personal finance tool. What sets it apart is its ability to auto-categorize your transactions pulled from your bank statements. This saves lots of time in entering those manually, and you don’t have to worry about missing an entry on-the-go. If you do use cash, you can record them separately, and even mark the transactions against your cash withdraws. You can then view your overall cashflow from all of your accounts, which makes it a lot easier to see how much you have left to spend. By logging in to your account on the website, you can access more features, such as customize categories, set alerts for over-spending and bill payments. Many more advanced features for you to explore, record your assets and investments etc to use it as a comprehensive financial management tool.

This game is actually FREE. Even though it has options for in app purchases, but you won’t be needing it unless you are that addictive (i.e. on the game 12 hours a day). It doesn’t have fancy graphics, but the game concept is cute and great if you want to kill some time. You can build all sorts of stores in the building, hire tenants to help you run the stores, match their personalities with the store to sell the products. View their funny conversation on their “community forum”, dress them up, paint the stores… etc… etc. Lots of interaction, a lot more fun than what it appears to be in the app store

Safari is not a bad browser, but Dolphin definitely offers more essential functionalities. Open windows as tabs, gestures to quickly access your bookmarks and downloaded items. Speed dial and one-button to share on twitter. It also offers “webzine”, which gives you a neat column view of news from many sources (i.e. gizmodo, engadget, CNN news etc.), can almost replace a google reader app with this integrated feature.
Let me know in the comments any other apps you would recommend.
